The REHC
Established in 1977, the Rashid Equestrian & Horseracing Club (REHC) is responsible for running and developing the sport of horse racing in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
REHC is the umbrella organisation under which the Bahrain Turf Club operates. It is also the sole venue for horse racing in the Kingdom. It enjoys national support from some of the leading names in government, industry and the corporate sector.
In recent years, REHC has overseen an acceleration in the growth, standing and popularity of horse racing in Bahrain.
Headline initiatives include the establishment of the Bahrain International Trophy in 2019, held annually in November the race has attracted leading horses from Europe and Japan, and in 2024 the building of floodlights around the racecourse, a move that introduced more flexibility in the race programme and a spectacle that elevated racing in Bahrain to a new level.
